  2. Follow the raised deck past ICT-City to Jussin aukio and take the wide outdoor stairs down (about 10 steps).
  3. Enter BioCity through its courtyard-side event entrance.
  4. Joki is indoors from BioCity: at the far (south-east) end of the main lobby, down a short stair (10 steps).

EduCity, BioCity and Joki with the streets around them, built to scale from City of Turku open data. Challenge partners arrive at EduCity's door B on Friday and come in through BioCity's entrance on Tykistökatu to Joki on Saturday; builders walk about 200 m along the raised campus deck from EduCity to BioCity.

  1. Kupittaa station → EduCity registration

    Builders arriving by train · 5 min · 390 m

    From the platform over the covered Kalevansilta footbridge, across Joukahaisenkatu and up EduCity's outdoor stairs to the east main entrance.

    1. On the platform, walk away from the station building to the stairs up to Kalevansilta, the covered footbridge.
    2. Cross the footbridge towards ParkCity and take the stairs down at its end.
    3. Cross Joukahaisenkatu at the zebra crossing to EduCity's brick building.
    4. Turn left along the building and climb the wide outdoor stairs at its east corner (about 30 steps).
    5. Follow the walkway along the building to the glass pavilion — the east main entrance.
    6. Registration is just inside; the team formation area and Taidon portaat are further into the lobby.

  2. Station hall or bus 3 → EduCity registration

    Builders via the station hall or bus 3/3A · 7 min · 570 m

    From the station hall street door (bus stop Kupittaan asema) along Joukahaisenkatu past ICT-City, then up EduCity's outdoor stairs.

    1. From the station hall's street door or bus stop Kupittaan asema, walk to the Tykistökatu–Joukahaisenkatu junction.
    2. Turn left onto Joukahaisenkatu and cross to the ICT-City side at the first crossing.
    3. Keep going past ICT-City; EduCity is the brick building after the passage with the glass bridges.
    4. Step-free? Take the street-level lifts in that passage, between ICT-City and EduCity, instead of the stairs ahead.
    5. Walk along EduCity's street side and climb the wide outdoor stairs at its east corner (about 30 steps).
    6. Follow the walkway to the glass pavilion — registration is just inside the east main entrance.

  3. ParkCity → EduCity company arrival

    Challenge partners arriving by car on Friday · 3 min · 190 m

    From the ParkCity car park across Joukahaisenkatu, up EduCity's outdoor stairs and in through door B to the company briefing rooms on floors 1–3.

    1. Park in ParkCity (Joukahaisenkatu 8) — guest parking is on floors 1–3 — and leave by the street door.
    2. Cross Joukahaisenkatu at the zebra crossing to EduCity's brick building.
    3. Turn left along the building and climb the wide outdoor stairs at its east corner (about 30 steps).
    4. Door B is a few metres along the walkway on your right, in a recessed brick portal.
    5. Inside, event staff meet you and guide you on — the company briefing rooms are on floors 1, 2 and 3. Bring your Q&A stand materials: the Since AI team sets your stand up in Joki for Saturday.

  4. Kupittaa station → EduCity company arrival

    Challenge partners arriving by train on Friday · 4 min · 340 m

    From the platform over the covered Kalevansilta footbridge, across Joukahaisenkatu, up EduCity's outdoor stairs and in through door B to the company briefing rooms on floors 1–3.

    1. On the platform, walk away from the station building to the stairs up to Kalevansilta, the covered footbridge.

    Anyone who needs step-free access to EduCity · 2 min · 130 m

    From ParkCity over the zebra crossing on Joukahaisenkatu into the passage between ICT-City and EduCity, to the street-level lifts.

    1. Leave ParkCity by the street door on Joukahaisenkatu.
    2. Cross Joukahaisenkatu at the zebra crossing to EduCity's brick building (dropped kerbs).
    3. Turn right along the building into the passage between ICT-City and EduCity, under the glass bridges.
    4. EduCity's street-level door is in the passage: take the lift up to floor 1 — the lobby, registration and the briefing rooms.

  6. Drop-off → BioCity partner stands

    Visibility and tech partners · 1 min · 70 m

    From a drop-off on Tykistökatu into BioCity's entrance recess and down the build hall to the partner corner at its far (south-east) end.

    1. Get dropped off on Tykistökatu just after the traffic lights at Lemminkäisenkatu, on BioCity's side.
    2. Cross the two-way cycle path into the open entrance recess beside the glass corner tower — the supercars are on display here.
    3. Go in through the revolving door (level access) and walk down the main lobby, the build hall.
    4. Keep to the central walkway between the build tables to the hall's far (south-east) end.
    5. The partner corner is on your left before the passage to Joki: Red Hat's stand (Stand 1), Pruna AI's stand (Stand 3), BearingPoint's stand (Stand 4), CSC / LUMI AI Factory's stand (Stand 5) and Major League Hacking's stand (Stand 6) are in the row by the corridor to the meals. Solita's stand (Stand 2) faces the hall by the walkway, and FIWARE's stand (Stand 7) is behind it, facing the walkway to Joki.

  7. EduCity → BioCity build hall

    Builders, after the Friday briefings · 4 min · 270 m

    About 200 m outdoors: along the raised campus deck past ICT-City, down the wide stair at Jussin aukio and in through BioCity's courtyard entrance.

    1. Leave EduCity by the west main entrance, onto the raised campus deck.
    2. Follow the deck past ICT-City for about 150 m to Jussin aukio.
    3. Take the wide outdoor stairs down (about 10 steps).
    4. Cross the courtyard, with the round Joki tower on your left, to BioCity's event entrance.
    5. Inside, the Aulagalleria leads round to the build hall in the main lobby.

  8. Drop-off → Joki Showroom

    Challenge partners on Saturday · 2 min · 140 m

    From a drop-off on Tykistökatu into BioCity, through the build hall and down the short stair into Joki, then up the ramp to the Showroom.

    1. Get dropped off on Tykistökatu just after the traffic lights at Lemminkäisenkatu, on BioCity's side.
    2. Cross the two-way cycle path into the entrance recess beside the glass corner tower, past the supercar display.
    3. Go in through the revolving door (level access) and walk the length of the main lobby, the build hall.
    4. At the far (south-east) end, take the short stair down (10 steps) into Joki.
    5. Cross the Aula and go up the ramp into the round Showroom: Meyer Turku, DNA, Apetit, Elisa, Turku Energia and Bayer along the LED wall, counted from the entrance. The tower stairs and lift go up to floors 2 and 3. Your stand is ready — set up from the materials you brought on Friday.

  9. ParkCity → BioCity main entrance

    Companies and partners arriving by car · 5 min · 360 m

    From ParkCity along Joukahaisenkatu to Tykistökatu, then on BioCity's side of the street to the entrance recess.

    1. Leave ParkCity by the street door and follow Joukahaisenkatu to the right (north-west, away from EduCity), all the way to Tykistökatu.
    2. Cross the end of Joukahaisenkatu and turn left along Tykistökatu, past Eurocity and Electrocity.
    3. BioCity's main entrance is in the open recess beside the glass corner tower, where the supercars are on display.
    4. Inside, the build hall is straight ahead; Joki and the Q&A Showroom are down the short stair at its far end, about 70 m on.

  10. Kupittaa station → BioCity main entrance

    Companies and partners arriving by train or bus · 4 min · 290 m

    From the station hall street door along Tykistökatu — on BioCity's side of the street all the way — to the entrance recess.

    1. From the station hall's street door, walk out to Tykistökatu and turn left, past bus stop Kupittaan asema.
    2. Cross the end of Joukahaisenkatu and keep following Tykistökatu, past Eurocity and Electrocity.
    3. BioCity's main entrance is in the open recess beside the glass corner tower, where the supercars are on display.
    4. Inside, the build hall is straight ahead; Joki and the Q&A Showroom are down the short stair at its far end, about 70 m on.

  11. BioCity → Joki Showroom

    Builders · Saturday Q&A · 2 min · 120 m

    Indoors all the way: through the build hall, down the short stair into Joki and up the ramp to the Showroom.

    1. Walk through the build hall to its far (south-east) end.
    2. Take the short stair down (10 steps) into Joki — the Aula and the Cave hall are build areas too.
    3. Go up the ramp into the round Showroom, where six challenge partners have their counters.
    4. The tower stairs and lift beside the Showroom go up to the other stands on floors 2 and 3.

  12. BioCity → EduCity for the closing ceremony and finals

    Everyone, on Sunday before 13:15 · 4 min · 310 m

    The Friday transfer in reverse: out through the Aulagalleria, up the stair at Jussin aukio and along the campus deck to EduCity — the closing ceremony starts at 13:15, each challenge's top three are announced from 13:30 and the finals start at 14:00.

    1. Leave the build hall through the Aulagalleria and the courtyard-side event entrance.
    2. Cross Jussin aukio and climb the wide outdoor stairs (about 10 steps) to the campus deck.
    3. Follow the deck past ICT-City for about 150 m to EduCity's west main entrance.
    4. Inside, walk through the lobby towards Taidon portaat, where the opening was — event staff show you to the closing ceremony and the finals.

Free street parking?

Free parking may be available on certain public streets outside paid hours, including Sundays. Availability, time limits and restrictions vary by location. Always check the traffic signs before leaving your vehicle. Private parking garages remain subject to their own fees.

City of Turku paid street parking: Mon–Fri 09:00–20:00 and Sat 09:00–17:00 (Zone I €3.60, Zone II €1.80, Zone III €0.60 per hour).

Before you drive

  • Arriving between midnight and 06:00? ParkCity's entry is closed then — P-Station Kupittaa is open 24/7.
  • Dropping someone off is not parking: stop only where the signs allow it, let your passengers out and drive on to a car park.
  • Accessible parking: the operator's terms apply in private car parks, including to disabled parking card holders — check them before you arrive. The step-free route from ParkCity uses the lifts between ICT-City and EduCity.
  • Bringing stand equipment? Ask the Since AI team to arrange unloading with you in advance — there are no event loading permits or company parking passes.

Not event parking

  • P-Intelligate (Joukahaisenkatu 6) is for Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa guests and contract holders only.
  • The courtyard at Kupittaa station is 1-hour disc parking for shoppers.
  • Never park on the campus deck, in courtyards, on cycle paths, in fire lanes or in reserved spaces.

Prices and availability are set by the operators and may change; the signs on site and the operator's terms always prevail. These are regular public rates, not Since AI discounts.
