Discord is the main channel between partner representatives and the Since AI team during the hackathon — and where teams ask about your challenge. Set it up before you travel.

Every representative coming on site: join the Since AI Discord, verify your account and check that your company role is in place before you arrive in Turku.

  1. 01Open Discord in your browser (discord.com), the desktop app or the mobile app.
  2. 02Create an account if you don’t have one yet.
  3. 03Verify your email address — Discord sends the link when you sign up.
  4. 04Set your display name as First name | Company, for example “Anna | Valmet”, so builders and organisers know who you are.
  5. 05Join the Since AI Discord with the invite link above.
  6. 06During onboarding, choose the company / challenge partner representative option where it is offered.
  7. 07The Since AI team then assigns your company or partner role.
  8. 08Once the role is in place, your company and partner channels appear in your channel list.
  9. 09Access missing or wrong? Tell the Since AI team in the partner help / check-in channel, or email info@sinceai.fi.

Your challenge channel

  • Your company’s challenge channel is where teams ask about your challenge — the primary place for their questions during the hackathon. Keep it monitored throughout the event.
  • Answer in the channel where you can, so every team gets the same information. Use Reply or a thread for longer back-and-forth.
  • Share and pin the key material there: challenge documents, APIs, datasets and a short FAQ.
  • Coordination with the Since AI team happens in a private company / partner area, where one is set up for you.
  • Urgent operational updates and schedule changes reach you on Discord.
  • Please don’t use @everyone or @here. If something truly has to reach the whole server, ask the Since AI team to post it.

A 3-minute outdoor walk along the raised campus deck to Jussin aukio.

  1. Leave EduCity by the west main entrance — after Friday's briefings, volunteers and event signs show the way.
  2. Follow the raised deck past ICT-City to Jussin aukio and take the wide outdoor stairs down (about 10 steps).
  3. Enter BioCity through its courtyard-side event entrance.
  4. Joki is indoors from BioCity: at the far (south-east) end of the main lobby, down a short stair (10 steps).

Arriving by car

Friday: park in ParkCity (Joukahaisenkatu 8, paid guest parking on floors 1–3) — EduCity is across the street, about 190 m to door B. Saturday: get dropped off on Tykistökatu at BioCity's entrance recess, where the supercars are on display, or walk about 360 m from ParkCity to BioCity's main entrance. Every route is in the 3D campus, step by step.

Q&A hours vs. your presence

The Q&A area at Joki is open Sat 09:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00. Please be available for at least two hours across those windows and post your exact hours at your stand. You are welcome on site all weekend — even around the clock.

Stand setup at Joki

Since AI sets it up for you. Bring your stand materials when you arrive at EduCity on Friday and hand them to the Since AI team — when you come over to Joki on Saturday morning, your stand is ready.

NDA and confidential data

Your company owns any NDA process, signatures and records. Do not reveal confidential content before signatures are complete, and plan a signing method that works for a full room of teams — with a paper backup.

Food will be reserved for company representatives at the scheduled meal times. Joining the meals is entirely optional.

Sunday results

Evaluate the submissions to your challenge from 10:00, when submissions close, until 13:00. The winners of all 15 company challenges are announced from 13:30 at EduCity; the finals — the five most-voted solutions — follow at 14:00.
