Our nonprofit mission
Since AI ry is a Finnish nonprofit association whose mission is to advance AI education, practical skills, technological literacy, and open collaboration for the broader community.
We create accessible opportunities for students, researchers, developers, and other members of the community to learn about artificial intelligence, develop practical skills, and collaborate on real-world technology projects through educational programs, hackathons, workshops, and community initiatives.
Since AI ry operates on a not-for-profit basis. Its activities are carried out to advance its nonprofit mission and broader community benefit rather than to generate private financial benefit for members or leadership.
How we carry out this mission
Learning by building. We do not organize around content, networking, or presentations alone. Students, researchers, developers, and other members of the community learn about artificial intelligence by collaborating on real-world technology projects.
Open collaboration. Educational programs are run with universities, research groups, public institutions, and technology partners so participants learn in contact with current practice and real problems.
Programs, not one-off events. Hackathons, workshops, and community initiatives are educational programs. Participants can continue developing practical skills through further workshops, community projects, and research-to-practice activities.

Riku Lauttia
AI engineer and entrepreneur building intelligent systems at the intersection of technical execution and commercial strategy. Founded Since AI in 2025 and led its growth to a 10,000+ builder network and 30+ strategic partnerships.

Advisors and ecosystem partners
Since AI works closely with ecosystem partners globally, including Google for Developers, Antler, the University of Turku, Aalto AI, Boost Turku, and HankenAI. A formal advisory board will be announced as Since AI expands in 2026.
